Justin M. Robinson is a poet living in rural Texas. His poetry has appeared in many publications including, most recently, the Red River Review and the Texas Observer. Robinson has won multiple awards including nomination for The Pushcart Prize, and is currently the creative director for Northeast Texas Poetry in Schools.
Robinson studied poetry at Goddard College and Spalding University under mentors Greg Pape, Tongo Eisen-Martin, and Austin Smith, and is a member of the Texas Poetry Society and the Rusk Country Poetry Society.
His poetry has appeared in many publications including, the Red River Review, the Texas Observer, The Clayjar Review, and has been published in the anthology The Half-Life of Echoes by Tiny Wren Lit, the Texas Poetry Calendar by Dos Gatos Press, and the Anthology of the Year by the Texas Poetry Society.
Robinson has won multiple awards including winning the New York Public Library National Poetry Contest and being nominated for The Pushcart Prize.
Robinson has worked many years to encourage the reading and writing of poetry in his area, receiving a lifetime service award by the Tyler Junior College Poetry Club for his service to them and is the Creative Director for Northeast Texas Poetry in Schools.
